People come to counselling and psychotherapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing anxiety or depression, difficulties in a relationship or family, bereavement or loss, questions around identity or adoption, or simply feel that something in your life needs to change. Therapy can provide an opportunity to understand what may be holding you back, develop greater resilience and consider how you would like to move forward.
I work with individuals and couples in a humanistic and integrative way. A humanistic approach places the individual and their experience at the centre of the therapeutic relationship, with an emphasis on understanding the whole person rather than simply addressing a particular symptom or difficulty. An integrative approach allows me to draw on different therapeutic perspectives according to the needs and circumstances of each person, including person-centred, CBT, psychodynamic and relational approaches.
As an IACP-accredited Counselling Psychotherapist, I work within the professional and ethical standards of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns and with people at different stages of their lives, offering both short- and longer-term therapeutic work.
